The Level 2 Certificate in Group Training will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to plan, deliver and supervise safe and effective group training sessions.

Entry requirements
- No specific qualifications required.
- Experience of group training classes is recommended (but not necessary).
- A degree of physical fitness is necessary because the course involves physical exertion/participation.
- There is an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved. Learners should have basic skills in communication.
Course structure
- 5 day course, plus 1 day assessment.
- 9:00am - 5:00pm each day.
- There are five mandatory units:
- Principles of anatomy, physiology and fitness.
- Professionalism for group training.
- Health and safety in a group training environment.
- Supporting behaviour change and healthy lifestyles.
- Planning and instructing group training sessions.
- Assessment through coursework/project work, multiple-choice examination, a portfolio of evidence and practical demonstration/assignment.
